Our assisted living homes typically include 24-hour caregiver support, help with personal care, medication monitoring, home-cooked meals, housekeeping, laundry, social activities, and individualized care planning. Arizona facilities may be licensed to provide supervisory, personal, or directed care based on residents’ needs.
Assisted living may be appropriate when a loved one is struggling with bathing, dressing, medications, meal preparation, mobility, home safety, or loneliness. Frequent falls, missed medications, poor nutrition, and increasing caregiver stress can also indicate that additional support is needed.
Assisted living supports residents who need help with everyday activities while encouraging as much independence as possible. Nursing homes generally provide a higher level of skilled nursing and medical care for people with complex or intensive health needs.
Medicare generally does not cover assisted-living room, board, or ongoing personal care because these are considered long-term custodial services. It may still cover eligible medical care, doctor visits, therapy, or other healthcare services received by a resident.
